Today, Mr. Chairman, I propose to look at the mid-century global power prospects of three countries at the focus of this Asia Congress—China and India, as well as Russia, which after all has more than half its landmass in Asia.
I think all of us would agree that if trends continue, this century will turn out to be the Century of Asia. Economic, strategic, and military balances of power are shifting that way. Technical analysts and the media seem unanimous that such a century is already in the making.
