2nd Turkey-Iran Round Table Meeting Held In Tehran

The Second Iran-Turkey Round Table Meeting which was initiated by the cooperation of TASAM and Iran’s Foreign Ministry Center for Strategic Studies (IPIS) was held on 4 May 2009 in Tehran. TASAM delegation was composed of Chairman Süleyman Şensoy, Vice President Retired Ambassador Murat Bilhan and Executive Board Member Prof. Vural Altın. The meeting which Turkey Tehran Embassy participated as supervisor was held in three sessions with the participation of Iran delegation led by the director of IPIS Ambassador Dr. Sayed Rasoul Mousavi.

The meeting came to an end with great satisfaction of the parties, in accordance with the program previously announced, after the mutual exchange of views.

The Delegation held a special meeting with Kemal Karrazi the former Iranian Minster of Foreign Affairs and currently the consultant of Iran’s spiritual leader Ayaetullah Hamaney

TASAM delegation attended a special meeting with the deputy minister of foreign affairs Ali Ahani before the meeting; by the same token a special meeting was held with Kemal Harrazi the consultant of Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatullah Hamaney who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs during eight years.

TASAM delegation also participated to dinner given by Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs general director in charge of Turkey, Cyprus, Caucasus, Russia and Central Asia. Additionally, TASAM delegation was accepted by Selim Karaosmanoğlu, Tehran Ambassador of Turkey.
TASAM delegation which participated to a program in Tehran radio, made also detailed interviews about the preparations of the 3rd meeting that will be held in Turkey.
