CHAIRMAN ŞENSOY: CICA PRESIDENCY WILL MOVE TURKEY’S SOLUTION FOCUSED ROLE TO A MULTILATERAL PROCESS
“Turkey which is located at the crossroads of Asia, Europe and Africa; needs to become a state that affects globalism rather than being exposed to its effects“ Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) Chairman Süleyman Şensoy said.
Şensoy also emphasized CICA importance on international platform by saying “The initiatives of CICA are directed to reinforce the values of the modern world, to disseminate the ideas of integration and peace, to warm Asian peoples and to regional integration. The initiatives aforesaid have been important factors in reinforcing the role of Kazakhstan which is a post-Soviet Country in the international arena and paved the way for Kazakhstan’s taking the presidency of 2010 OSCE and 2011 OIC. The proposal of CICA’s 2010-2012 presidency to Turkey which is conscious about its role on the prevention of clashes and their solutions is the most obvious manifestation of the confidence shown in our country. Hence Turkey’s solution focused role that it put forward on the basis of countries will be crowned by this presidency and Turkey will contribute to global and regional stability on a larger scale.“
“OSCE AND CICA PRESIDENCIES PUT IN FRONT OF US THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE NOT TO BE MISSED“
After mentioning Kazakhstan’s pursuing multilateral and multidimensional policies as Turkey, Chairman Şensoy continued by saying “The biggest proof that Kazakhstan is turned to Europe as well as Asia is its taking over the 2010 AGIT Presidency. Kazakhstan’s 2010 OSCE presidency and Turkey’s CICA presidency which will last for two years are putting in front of us the opportunities which will get closer Asia and Europe on common ground and that are not to be missed.
